John Wayne Airport Posts July 2026 Statistics

(SANTA ANA, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in July 2026 as compared to July 2025. In July 2026, the Airport served 1,013,594 passengers, a decrease of 3.7% when compared with the July 2025 passenger traffic count of 1,052,623.

Commercial aircraft operations in July 2026 of 8,335 increased less than 0.1% and commuter aircraft operations of 765 decreased 3.3% when comparing with July 2025 levels. 

Total aircraft operations decreased in July 2026 as compared with the same month in 2025. In July 2026, there were 24,974 total aircraft operations (takeoffs and landings) a 16.8% decrease compared to 30,003 total aircraft operations in July 2025.

General aviation activity of 15,848 accounted for 63.5% of the total aircraft operations during July 2026, and decreased 24% compared with July 2025.

The top three airlines in July 2026 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (261,795), American Airlines (179,199), and United Airlines (162,528).
