Airport Green Build Program

John Wayne Airport is committed to advancing cost-effective sustainability principles throughout the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of its facilities. The Airport Green Build Program promotes long-term resiliency, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and diversion, material conservation, resource efficiency, and the reduction of air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions. The program is intended to reduce impacts on natural resources, employees, guests, and the surrounding community while helping ensure compliance with environmental mitigation requirements and commitments made to regulatory agencies. Through responsible project execution, JWA advances environmental stewardship while providing safe, efficient, and reliable airport services.

Green Concessions Program

The Green Concessions Program (GCP) is a JWA sustainability initiative designed to integrate environmentally responsible practices into both the design of tenant spaces within the Terminals and day-to-day concession operations. The program promotes sustainability across key focus areas, including energy and water efficiency; waste reduction and recycling; proper management of fats, oils, and grease (FOG); source reduction strategies; sustainable supply chain and transportation practices; edible food recovery; and comprehensive employee training.
