John Wayne Airport Posts April 2025 Statistics

(SANTA ANA, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in April 2025 as compared to April 2024. In April 2025, the Airport served 910,435 passengers, a decrease of 0.7% when compared with the April 2024 passenger traffic count of 916,552.

Commercial aircraft operations in April 2025 of 7,732 increased 0.1% and commuter aircraft operations of 661 increased 73.9% when comparing with April 2024 levels. 

Total aircraft operations increased in April 2025 as compared with the same month in 2024. In April 2025, there were 25,837 total aircraft operations (takeoffs and landings) an 11.5% increase compared to 23,177 total aircraft operations in April 2024.

General aviation activity of 17,433 accounted for 67.5% of the total aircraft operations during April 2025, and increased 15.8% compared with April 2024.

The top three airlines in April 2025 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (252,207), American Airlines (158,373), and United Airlines (151,409).
