John Wayne Airport Posts February 2020 Statistics

 

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in February 2020 as compared with February 2019. In February 2020, the Airport served 764,506 passengers, a decrease of 3.2% when compared with the February 2019 passenger traffic count of 789,523. 

Commercial aircraft operations decreased 6.9% and commuter aircraft operations increased 38.7% when compared with February 2019 levels.

Total aircraft operations decreased in February 2020 as compared with the same month in 2019. In February 2020, there were 19,412 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 9.1% decrease compared to 21,360 total aircraft operations in February 2019.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 64.4% of the total aircraft operations during February 2020, decreased 11.4% when compared with February 2019.

The top three airlines in February 2020 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (258,797), American Airlines (126,559) and United Airlines (117,092).
