Photographs Capturing the Dazzling Colors of the Sea on Display at John Wayne Airport

SANTA ANA, Calif. - From November 17 - December 14, 2016, "Salt Water Taffy," a series of photographs by Corona del Mar resident Jessica Cardelucci, will be on display at John Wayne Airport (JWA) as part of JWA's Community Focus Space Program (CFS). These photographs can be viewed on the Departure (upper) Level near security screening areas in Terminals A, B and C, and on the Arrival (lower) Level adjacent to Baggage Carousels 1 and 4.

"Jessica Cardelucci's photographs celebrate the unique natural beauty of the ocean, creating an emotional connection through the use of color," said Board Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett. "Visitors to John Wayne Airport should be sure to view these images affirming the beauty of our most treasured natural resource."

"Salt Water Taffy" is a collection of photographs showcasing the dazzling colors of the sea. Preservation of the environment is an important element of the artist's work, inspired by the artist's travels to the Galapagos Islands and the ruins of Machu Picchu, which instilled a deep appreciation for the natural resources and wildlife existing in the United States.

"I hope viewers are inspired by my images to protect and preserve our oceans," said Ms. Cardelucci.

A lifelong resident of Corona del Mar, Jessica Cardelucci earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Chapman University.

Upcoming Community Focus Space Program artists include Michael Gallagher (December 17 - January 17) and Ruth Kurisu (January 17 - February 16).
