Vintage Fine Art Posters on Display at John Wayne Airport

SANTA ANA, Calif. - A collection of vintage fine art posters titled The Art of Posters - The Posters of Art is on display now at John Wayne Airport (JWA). The collection is in the Vi Smith Concourse Gallery, located on the Departure (upper) Level, across from Gates 2 through 5 in Terminal A, Gates 18 through 21 in Terminal C and in the free-standing display cases across from Gate 14. Ticketed passengers can view the exhibit through January 2017.

"This exhibition provides an opportunity for the traveling public to view images of art and elegant graphic design," said Board Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett. "When traveling through John Wayne Airport, I encourage everyone to explore the beautiful representations of fine art on display."

Prior to the advent of the digital promotion of art exhibitions, beautifully designed posters were employed to provide an artistic promotion of exhibits. This exhibition provides samples of the wide spectrum of poster formats, colors and shapes used for the promotion and advertising of high profile artists and venues, both public and private.
