John Wayne Airport Posts October 2015 Statistics

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2015 as compared with October 2014. In October 2015, the Airport served 913,321 passengers, an increase of 12.4% when compared with the October 2014 passenger traffic count of 812,298.

Commercial aircraft operations increased 7.0%, while commuter aircraft operations decreased 3.5% when compared with October 2014 levels.

Total aircraft operations decreased in October 2015 as compared with the same month in 2014. In October 2015, there were 22,874 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 6.3% decrease compared to 24,405 total aircraft operations in October 2014.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 67.4% of the total aircraft operations during October 2015, decreased 11.1% when compared with October 2014.
