John Wayne Airport Posts September 2015 Statistics

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in September 2015 as compared with September 2014.  In September 2015, the Airport served 844,385 passengers, an increase of 11.0% when compared with the September 2014 passenger traffic count of 760,536.

Commercial aircraft operations increased 6.6%, while commuter aircraft operations increased 6.2% when compared with September 2014 levels.

Total aircraft operations decreased in September 2015 as compared with the same month in 2014.  In September 2015, there were 22,278 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 3.3% decrease compared to 23,028 total aircraft operations in September 2014.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 67.8% of the total aircraft operations during September 2015, decreased 7.4% when compared with September 2014.
