John Wayne Airport Posts May 2015 Statistics

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in May 2015 as compared to May 2014.  In May 2015, the Airport served 839,813 passengers, an increase of 4.9% when compared to the May 2014 passenger traffic count of 800,721.

Commercial aircraft operations increased 1.0%, while commuter aircraft operations decreased 4.1% when compared to May 2014 levels.

Total aircraft operations decreased in May 2015 as compared to the same month in 2014.  In May 2015, there were 21,073 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 9.8% decrease compared to 23,367 total aircraft operations in May 2014.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 66.6% of the total aircraft operations during May 2015, decreased 14.5% when compared to May 2014.
