John Wayne Airport Posts April 2015 Statistics

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in April 2015 as compared to April 2014.  In April 2015, the Airport served 825,658 passengers, an increase of 5.7% when compared to the April 2014 passenger traffic count of 781,451.

Commercial aircraft operations increased 2.7%, while commuter aircraft operations increased 0.7% when compared to April 2014 levels.

Total aircraft operations decreased in April 2015 as compared to the same month in 2014.  In April 2015, there were 21,031 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 6.7% decrease compared to 22,550 total aircraft operations in April 2014.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 66.7% of the total aircraft operations during April 2015, decreased 10.9% when compared to April 2014.
