New Art Exhibit Showcases the Natural Resources and Historic Sites of Orange County Parks

(SANTA ANA, Calif.) – John Wayne Airport is pleased to announce the debut of a new OC Parks display showcasing 60,000 acres of parkland and historical space now featured in the Orange County: Destination Art & Culture exhibit through December 2021. Stroll through the pedestrian walkway, connecting Terminals B and C (pre-security) to view the art, history, and culture of Orange County's award-winning parks and programs.

The OC Parks exhibit highlights various activities available at its locations like family recreation, docent-led tours, and educational opportunities, as well as past and present artwork of its historical sites, including:

  • Irvine Ranch Historic Park: A 16.5-acre park that retains 24 original ranch structures representing the agricultural history of Orange County. It was once one of the world's greatest producers of Valencia oranges.
  • Old Orange County Courthouse: Known as the traditional home of County government, the Courthouse is Southern California's oldest court building.
  • Heritage Hill Historical Park: This park features 4.1 acres of four fully restored and furnished historic buildings spanning the early history of the Saddleback Valley and El Toro area.
  • Arden – Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens: The century-old home of renowned actress Madame Helena Modjeska lies on the historic grounds that resemble the Forest of Arden from the Shakespearean play "As You Like It."

Whether for recreation, enjoying nature, or learning about Orange County's history, the parks and programs of OC Parks are enjoyed by millions of residents and visitors each year. To learn more, visit www.ocparks.com.

The exhibit is located in the Thomas F. Riley Terminal on the Departure (upper) Level in the pedestrian walkway between Terminals B and C before security screening.
