JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT DISPLAYS MODERN ABSTRACT PAINTINGS
BY LOCAL ARTIST STEVE ADAM
SANTA ANA, Calif. - As part of John Wayne Airport's Community Focus Space Program, a selection of paintings by Steve Adam can be seen on the Departure (upper) Level near the security screening areas in Terminals A, B and C and on the Arrival (lower) Level adjacent to Baggage Carousels 1 and 4 from October 16, 2014 through November 13, 2014.
Adam deems his painting style as both modern abstract expressionism and representational. His imagination inspires his artwork - he paints not only what he sees, but what he feels. In Adam's current coastal focus artwork, he selects palm trees, beaches, wildlife and wetlands to play below his signature glowing sun or moon. Adam's energy flows through his brushstrokes as he depicts his freedom of expression on canvas.

Adam takes great joy in the happiness people derive from his art. "I want my art to make people happy and cause that kind of jubilant reaction when they connect emotionally with the images I portray," said artist Steve Adam.
A Louisiana native, Steve Adam settled in Orange County in 1984. He began his career in the tile business, installing tile in elegant designs and patterns. More than a decade ago, Adam announced his new path as an artist with a diverse style that is both representational and contemporary abstract.
