Terminal A and B Improvements
Airport improvement projects recently approved by the Orange County Board of Supervisors are about to get underway at John Wayne Airport (JWA). Riley Terminals A and B will undergo a physical transformation including new carpeting, paint and lights as well as seismic retrofitting. The Terminals A and B Improvement Project is scheduled to begin in winter of 2015 and be complete by spring 2018.
Throughout the multi-year project, the comfort and safety of our guests will remain our priority. Construction will be completed in enclosed work areas and any noisy or dusty projects are scheduled to be completed at night after passenger operations have ended for the day.
Some of the key project elements are:
- Painted ceilings and walls
- ADA upgrades
- Lighting renovation
- Improved signage and wayfinding
- Restroom refurbishment
- HVAC rehabilitation
- Fire and safety upgrades
- Carpet replacement
- Seismic retrofit
- New emergency/courtesy telephones
- New rental car counter
While there will be multiple projects occurring simultaneously, we will do our best to minimize impacts to our guests. For more information, visit ocair.com or call 949.252.5200.
