The Deputy Airport Director (DAD), Maintenance, is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing strategic actions for building repair and maintenance, airfield repair and maintenance, central utility plant management, and janitorial and other maintenance service contract management. The DAD for Maintenance provides proactive infrastructure maintenance, preventative repair, utility services, evaluation of current facility structures, and anticipates the needs of the traveling community and airport tenants.

Mr. Flynn began as Deputy Airport Director (DAD), Maintenance, in 2018. Mr. Flynn has more than 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors, and prior to joining John Wayne Airport, he was Vice President for Kimley-Horn and Associates. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Massachusetts.
