JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS APRIL 2012 STATISTICS (Revised)**
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in April 2012 as compared to April 2011. In April 2012, the Airport served 727,523 passengers, an increase of 0.7% when compared to the April 2011 passenger traffic count of 722,815.
Commercial aircraft operations decreased 0.8%, while Commuter aircraft operations decreased 23.7% when compared to the levels recorded in April 2011.
Total aircraft operations decreased in April 2012 as compared to the same month in 2011. In April 2012, there were 21,861 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 2.2% when compared to 22,352 total aircraft operations in April 2011.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 69% of the total aircraft operations during April 2012, decreased 2.6% when compared to April 2011.
