JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS MARCH STATISTICS
SANTA ANA, Calif. -
Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in March 2008 as compared to March 2007. In March 2008, the Airport served 819,638 passengers, a decrease of 5.6% when compared to the March 2007 passenger traffic count of 868,533.
Commercial Carrier flight operations decreased 4.1%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 12.4% when compared to the same levels recorded in March 2007.
Total aircraft operations decreased in March 2008 as compared to the same month in 2007. In March 2008, there were 27,821 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 6.4% when compared to 29,733 total aircraft operations in March 2007. General aviation activity, which accounted for 69% of the total aircraft operations during March 2008, decreased 6.9% when compared to March 2007.
