Air Service Task Force
John Wayne Airport (JWA) has been working hard over the last few years to bring new carriers and new destinations to Orange County. Since 2011, three new carriers (AirTran, Interjet and WestJet) have landed at JWA and six new nonstop destinations have been added. But we're not stopping there!
To help strengthen our business case to present to potential air carriers, a new Air Service Task Force has been created. Airport Director, Alan Murphy, announced the purpose and membership of the Task Force at the Annual OC Tourism Conference in May. In addition to Alan Murphy, an impressive group of senior executives from OCBC and OCVA have already started working on this new initiative.

The Task Force's first step is to gather additional data about the demand for nonstop service to the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area that can be presented to prospective air carriers.
We're hopeful that these ongoing efforts will result in new nonstop destinations for Orange County travelers, and we look forward to providing new air service opportunities to in-demand locations, including the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area.
