Tis the Season to be Flying at JWA!
With six new destinations in the last 18 months, it’s easier than ever for passengers to travel to and from JWA over the holidays. Our most recent addition: Interjet’s nonstop service to Mexico! On October 11, 2012, Interjet, Mexico’s second largest air carrier, began daily service from Orange County to Mexico City and Guadalajara. The service has proven to be so popular that Interjet added an additional daily flight to Guadalajara from December 14 - 23, 2012 and January 2 - 7, 2013. An additional daily flight to Mexico City has also been added between January 5 - 7, 2013.
Earlier this year, AirTran Airways – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Southwest Airlines – began JWA’s very first flights to Mexico with daily service from Orange County to Cabo San Lucas and Mexico City. Southwest/AirTran recently announced it will add an additional daily flight to Cabo San Lucas during the summer of 2013.
In other airline news, Westjet concluded their seasonal service to Calgary on October 28, 2012, which is scheduled to resume on April 27, 2013. Westjet’s service between Orange County and Vancouver continues to be popular, offering daily flights between the two cities. Southwest Airlines began service to William P. Hobby Airport in Houston on November 4, 2012. While other airlines fly to Houston Intercontinental Airport, the service to an additional airport in Houston offers more options for travelers flying to and from Orange County. On December 20, United Airlines resumed seasonal service to Mammoth Lakes, operating Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday’s, just in time for a winter getaway for Orange County travelers and resort skiers.
JWA is thrilled to provide these new and returning services to passengers just in time for the winter travel season! For more information on all of JWA’s nonstop destinations and news, visit www.ocair.com.
