TSA Pre✓™ Program Now at JWA
On December 19, TSA Administrator John S. Pistole visited Orange County to announce the launch of Pre✓™ at John Wayne Airport (JWA). Pronounced “Pre-Check,” the program is part of a larger effort by TSA to implement risk-based security concepts that enhance security by focusing efforts on travelers considered high-risk and about whom the agency knows less.
TSA Administrator John Pistole announces the launch of the TSA Pre✓™ program at John Wayne Airport.
Under TSA Pre✓™, U.S. citizens traveling domestically who are select Alaska, American, Delta, United and US Airways frequent travelers or members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS, are eligible to participate. Benefits to members of TSA Pre✓™ include being able to leave shoes, light outerwear and belts on, keeping laptops in cases and 3-1-1 compliant liquids in a carry-on bag. JWA passengers enrolled in the program can now access the TSA Pre✓™ screening lane in Terminal A.
"JWA is fortunate to have a number of partners who share our commitment to providing great customer service, and we consider TSA one of those partners," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy. "Together, we work hard to make sure JWA passengers have a positive experience - TSA Pre✓™ will make that experience even more smooth and efficient."
