Contractor Spotlight: West Coast Air ConditioningEditor’s note: John Wayne Airport is proud to work with a group of first-rate contractors and, in subsequent newsletters, will highlight different members of the Airport Improvement Program team. West Coast Air Conditioning Company, Inc. joined the Airport Improvement Program in June of 2009 when they were chosen by the Orange County Board of Supervisors to perform design/build services for the Central Utility Plant project at John Wayne Airport.
Founded in 1962, West Coast Air Conditioning Company, Inc. provides general construction services including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, clean rooms, chillers, computer rooms and energy management systems for commercial, industrial and institutional building owners in Southern California. The company recently completed a new Cogeneration Plant in Santa Ana that supplies 10 megawatts of electricity and chilled water to the County of Orange Civic Center complex. When complete, the Central Utility Plant will supply the Thomas F. Riley Terminal complex with power and with chilled water to serve the air conditioning system. The Central Utility Plant will include water chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and four natural gas-fired internal combustion engines for electric generation, as well as additional auxiliary mechanical equipment to support the production of chilled water for the air conditioning system.
Other West Coast Air Conditioning clients include North Island Naval Station Fleet Readiness Center, the Orange Unified School District, and the Point Loma Nazarene University. For more information on West Coast Air Conditioning Company, Inc., please contact Mr. David Dudley at 619.561.8000. |
