California Airports Council
John Wayne Airport Director Alan Murphy was recently elected by his peers to serve as the President of the California Airports Council (CAC) for 2011. A statewide consortium, the CAC was formed in 2009 by Directors and CEOs of California's 30 commercial airports to promote and advance the interests of commercial carrier airports in the state of California.
The California Airports Council's goals are to constructively engage state and federal government policymakers and regulators on matters of importance to California airport operations, financing and security and to present principled, cost-effect and customer-focused perspectives on the safe movement of people and goods through California's commercial airports.
