“SPECIALIZED ART IN PROGRESS”
The Art of the Settlement Amendment Implementation Plan

Santa Ana, CA – John Wayne Airport (JWA) announces the latest exhibition of the Airport Arts Program: “Specialized Art in Progress,” the Art of the Settlement Amendment Implementation Plan. The exhibit features unique hand drawn renderings created by E. Gary Blankenship of Landrum and Brown. The drawings are intended to help Airport visitors visualize some of the features and elements that may be included in the final design of the Airport Improvement Program.

Recent amendments to the “Settlement Agreement” – the regulatory framework that governs operations at JWA – allow the County to increase passenger capacity at JWA and to build the new facilities necessary to accommodate the additional passengers. Specifically, the amendments allow JWA to serve 10.3 million annual passengers (MAP) through 2010 and 10.8 MAP through 2015.

"John Wayne Airport is pleased to offer an early and brief look at our plans for new facilities,” said Alan L. Murphy, Airport Director.  “We’re looking forward to bringing the efficiency and aesthetics of the Riley Terminal to the new facilities.”

The exhibition will be on display in the Vi Smith Concourse Gallery in the Riley Terminal (across from Gates 1-4 and 11-14) from January 10, 2006 through April 30, 2006.

John Wayne Airport is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange.
