JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT REMAINS CLOSED
 

SANTA ANA, CA – Due to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) continued nationwide directive, John Wayne Airport remains closed to the public until further notice. The aircraft ground stop enacted yesterday by the FAA remains in effect.

Access to the terminal is restricted to official personnel only.

Once the Airport resumes operations, passengers must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Curbside check-in will not be permitted;
  • Only ticketed passengers will be permitted through the security check-points;
  • All knives of any kind or cutting objects will not be permitted through the security check-points;
  • Arrive at least two hours prior to flight departure to allow for parking, longer lines at check-in and the security check-points. Vehicles parking in terminal lots are subject to consent inspections;
  • Be prepared to show photo identification; and
  • Luggage should not be left unattended.

Airport personnel request that passengers contact the airlines for flight information status. In addition, airport officials ask that the public avoid coming to the airport, since scheduled flight operations are suspended.
