Remaining Public Parking In Lot B2 To Be Closed To Begin Phase Two Construction Of Parking Structure
At midnight tonight, the remaining public parking spaces in Lot B2 adjacent to the Thomas F. Riley Terminal at John Wayne Airport will be closed to begin Phase Two construction of the East Parking Structure Expansion Project.
Because of the reduced number of parking spaces near the terminal, the traveling public is advised to ALLOW EXTRA TIME to find parking spaces and get to the departure gates. Additional Airport parking is available in the off-airport lots located on Main Street. Additional shuttles will be operating from the off-airport lots to transport the public to and from the terminal. This service is free of charge.
Approximately 1,000 new parking spaces within walking distance of the terminal are expected to be available to the public by Thanksgiving just in time for the busy holiday travel season. This increase will bring the total number of available parking spaces adjacent to the terminal to 4,573.
The entire East Parking Structure Expansion Project is expected to be completed in spring 1999 and will provide 1,962 new parking spaces for the traveling public.
For parking information, the public may call (949) 252-5200.
