JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS NOVEMBER 2008 STATISTICS

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in November 2008 as compared to November 2007. In November 2008, the Airport served 649,486 passengers, a decrease of 17.0% when compared to the November 2007 passenger traffic count of 782,059.

Commercial Carrier flight operations decreased 14.5%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 18.7% when compared to the same levels recorded in November 2007.

Total aircraft operations decreased in November 2008 as compared to the same month in 2007. In November 2008, there were 16,179 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 32.4% when compared to 23,936 total aircraft operations in November 2007.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 55.1% of the total aircraft operations during November 2008, decreased 42.0% when compared to November 2007.
