SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in February 2008 as compared to February 2007. In February 2008, the Airport served 702,327 passengers, a decrease of 4.2% when compared to the February 2007 passenger traffic count of 733,034.

Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 0.9%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 8.4% when compared to the same levels recorded in February 2007.

Total aircraft operations decreased in February 2008 as compared to the same month in 2007. In February 2008, there were 24,122 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 8.3% when compared to 26,307 total aircraft operations in February 2007.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 67% of the total aircraft operations during February 2008, decreased 11.8% when compared to February 2007.
