JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS OCTOBER STATISTICS (REVISED)

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2007 as compared to October 2006. In October 2007, the Airport served 833,593 passengers, an increase of 3.3% when compared to the October 2006 passenger traffic count of 807,074.

Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 2.7%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 7.5% when compared to the same levels recorded in October 2006.

Total aircraft operations decreased in October 2007 as compared to the same month in 2006. In October 2007, there were 26,873 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 10.5% when compared to 30,020 total aircraft operations in October 2006.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 67% of the total aircraft operations during October 2007, decreased 15.4% when compared to October 2006.
