JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS SEPTEMBER STATISTICS (REVISED)
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in September 2007 as compared to September 2006. In September 2007, the Airport served 782,896 passengers, an increase of 4.5% when compared to the September 2006 passenger traffic count of 748,989. Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 2.2%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 10.2% when compared to the same levels recorded in September 2006. Total aircraft operations decreased in September 2007 as compared to the same month in 2006. In September 2007, there were 26,957 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 0.9% when compared to 27,203 total aircraft operations in September 2006.
