JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS JULY STATISTICS (REVISED)

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in July 2007 as compared to July 2006. In July 2007, the Airport served 913,172 passengers, an increase of 4.2% when compared to the July 2006 passenger traffic count of 876,431.

Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 2.9%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 9.8% when compared to the same levels recorded in July 2006.

Total aircraft operations decreased in July 2007 as compared to the same month in 2006. In July 2007, there were 28,516 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 4.4% when compared to 29,813 total aircraft operations in July 2006.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 68% of the total aircraft operations during July 2007, decreased 6.6% when compared to July 2006.
