SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in June 2007 as compared to June 2006. In June 2007, the Airport served 900,969 passengers, an increase of 5.7% when compared to the June 2006 passenger traffic count of 852,482.

Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 1.6%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 11.5% when compared to the same levels recorded in June 2006.

Total aircraft operations decreased in June 2007 as compared to the same month in 2006. In June 2007, there were 29,068 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a decrease of 6.2% when compared to 30,993 total aircraft operations in June 2006.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 69% of the total aircraft operations during June 2007, decreased 8.5% when compared to June 2006.
