JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS MARCH 2007 STATISTICS

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in March 2007 as compared to March 2006. In March 2007, the Airport served 868,533 passengers, an increase of 6.6% when compared to the March 2006 passenger traffic count of 814,981.

In March 2007, Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 7.4%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations decreased 27.0% when compared to March 2006. Total aircraft operations increased in March 2007 as compared to the same month in 2006.

In March 2007, there were 29,733 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 3.9% when compared to 28,608 total aircraft operations in March 2006.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 70% of the total aircraft operations during March 2007, increased 4.8% compared to March 2006.
