SANTA ANA, Calif. -
Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2006 as compared to October 2005. In October 2006, the Airport served 807,074 passengers, an increase of 1.4% when compared to the October 2005 passenger traffic count of 796,249.
Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 2.1%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations increased 0.2% when compared to the same levels recorded in October 2005.
Total aircraft operations increased in October 2006 as compared to the same month in 2005. In October 2006, there were 30,020 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 2.3% when compared to 29,353 total aircraft operations in October 2005.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 70.4% of the total aircraft operations during October 2006, increased 2.4% when compared to October 2005.
