SANTA ANA, Calif. -
Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in September 2006 as compared to September 2005. In September 2006, the Airport served 748,989 passengers, a decrease of 2.2% when compared to the September 2005 passenger traffic count of 765,708.
Commercial Carrier flight operations increased 1.2%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations increased 3% when compared to the same levels recorded in September 2005.
Total
aircraft operations increased
in August 2006 as compared
to the same month in 2005.
In August 2006, there were
32,695 total aircraft operations
(take-offs and landings),
an increase of 0.2% when
compared to 32,634 total
aircraft operations in August
2005.
Total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings) decreased in September 2006 as compared to the same month in 2005. In September 2006, there were 27,203 total aircraft operations, a decrease of 10.3% when compared to 30,316 total aircraft operations in September 2005.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 68% of the total aircraft operations during September 2006, showed a decrease of 14.8% when compared to September 2005.
