Santa Ana, CA – Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in October 2005 as compared to October 2004. In October 2005, the Airport served 796,249 passengers, an increase of 0.9% when compared to the October 2004 passenger traffic count of 788,897.

Commercial Carrier flight operations showed a decrease of 3.0%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations showed an increase of 3.4% when compared to the same levels recorded in October 2004.

Total aircraft operations increased in October 2005 as compared to the same month in
2004. In October 2005, there were a total of 29,353 aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 0.5% when compared to the 29,219 total aircraft operations in October 2004.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 70% of the total aircraft operations during October 2005, showed an increase of 1.6% when compared to October 2004.

John Wayne Airport (SNA) is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange, and is the only commercial service airport in Orange County, California.
