JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS RECORD PASSENGER LEVELS IN 2004
Annual Passenger Level Hits All-Time High

Santa Ana, CA – John Wayne Airport established new passenger level records throughout the calendar year in 2004. Both November and December set all time records for each respective month, while the Airport finished the year serving 9,272,394 passengers –an 8.6% increase over 2003.

“We ended the year in the same record setting fashion as we began,”said John Wayne Airport Director Alan Murphy. “Passenger levels continued to grow throughout the year, resulting in JWA’s busiest year ever,”noted Murphy.

In December 2004, 784,500 passengers utilized the Thomas F. Riley Terminal for their travel plans - an increase of 4.8% over December 2003 traffic counts. Commercial flight operations increased by 2.3% and total operations by 0.8%.

John Wayne Airport is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange.
