NOVEMBER STATISTICS

(Santa Ana, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in November 2003 as compared to November 2002. In November 2003, the passenger traffic count was 715,573, an increase of 15.3% when compared to the November 2002 passenger traffic count of 620,444.

Total aircraft operations increased in November 2003 as compared to the same month in 2002. In November 2003, the total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings) were 30,090, an increase of 5.5% when compared to the November 2002 total aircraft operations count of 28,526.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 72% of the total aircraft operations during November 2003, showed an increase of 4.1% when compared to November 2002. In addition, Commercial Carrier flight operations showed an increase of 3.4%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations showed an increase of 48.1% when compared to the same levels recorded in November 2002.
