| JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS FEBRUARY STATISTICS |

Ana, CA) - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in
February 2002 as compared to February 2001. In February 2002, the passenger
traffic count was 527,943 a decrease of 1.0% when compared to the February 2001
passenger traffic count of 533,455.
In addition, Commercial Carrier flight operations showed a decrease of 2.6%, while Commuter Carrier (air taxi) operations showed a decrease of 44.3% when compared to the same levels recorded in February 2001. Total aircraft operations increased in February 2002 as compared to the same month in 2001. In February 2002, the total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings) were 27,922, an increase of 6.6% when compared to the February 2001 total aircraft operations count of 26,195. General aviation activity, which accounted for 76% of the total aircraft operations during February 2002, showed an increase of 12.0% when compared to February 2001. John Wayne Airport is a self-supporting enterprise, owned and operated by the County of Orange.
