Construction Stages and Timeline

The Airport Improvement Program is a multi-year program that includes the construction of new Terminal C, new Parking Structure C, a new Central Utility Plant, and updates to existing Terminals A and B with an estimated completion in late 2011.

Stage 1 (Complete)

  1. Build new South Remain-Over-Night (RON) aircraft parking area
  2. Stripe area for temporary passenger vehicle parking  (Lot C)

Stage 2 (Complete)

  1. Open Parking Lot C and provide free shuttle service between parking area and the Riley Terminal
  2. Close and deconstruct Parking Structure B1

Stage 3

  1. Begin construction of new Terminal C
  2. Begin construction of new 2,000+ space Parking Structure C
  3. Begin construction of new north and south commuter/regional facilities
  4. Begin construction of new Central Utility Plant

  1. Open new Terminal C
  2. Open new Parking Structure C
  3. Begin operation of new Central Utility Plant
  4. Close Parking Lot C/Relocate aircraft to new South RON
  5. Construct Phase 2 of Parking Structure C (when needed)

The Airport Improvement Program includes construction of a new South Remain-Over-Night (RON) aircraft parking area, a new multi-level Terminal C with six new commercial passenger gates, new security checkpoints, new commuter facilities as well as new Parking Structure C and a Central Utility Plant.
