Alert 12: Fuel Line Construction

SANTA ANA, Calif. (October 27, 2008) – As part of the John Wayne Airport Improvement Program, construction will take place in the vicinity of Gates 1A and 1B to install a new aircraft fueling hydrant system and trench drains.

Beginning Wednesday, October 29, construction activities will include demolishing and removing concrete panels on the ground near Gates 1A and 1B. This activity is expected to take several weeks. As a result, passengers and tenants in the Riley Terminal may experience construction-related noise and vibrations in this area. All efforts are being made to minimize any impacts to passengers and overall Airport operations.

Gate 1A will not be in use during this time and Gate 1B will only be used as needed, however no airlines will be scheduled at these gates throughout the construction period, further minimizing any operational and passenger impacts at John Wayne Airport.
