Alert 17: Lane Closures on Airport Roadways (9/16/2009 through 2011)

WHAT:

A portion of John Wayne Airport’s Terminal roadways near Terminal B will be narrowed to allow for construction of Terminal C and Parking Structure C through 2011.

The lower / arrival level roadway will be narrowed from three lanes to two near Terminal B. If exiting south toward Campus Drive, the road narrows to one lane.

In addition, the upper / departure level roadway will narrow from four lanes to three in the coming weeks.

TRAVEL TIPS:

Passengers and visitors to the Airport should plan extra time, exercise caution and follow posted speed limits when traveling the roadways, specifically in areas south of Terminal B toward Campus Drive as noted on the map below.

WHEN:

Effective September 15, 2009 through 2011.

WHY:

Improvements are underway at John Wayne Airport and include construction of Terminal C, Parking Structure C, Central Utility Plant and many other improvements throughout the Airport facility.
