Due to Airport Improvement Program construction, Parking Structure B1 will be closing permanently in September 2008. Parking Lot C opens for service August 1, 2008 with free shuttle service to the Terminal. Parking Structures A1, A2, B2, Valet Parking, and Main Street Parking will remain open. The new South Remain-Over-Night (South RON) aircraft parking area, pictured below, has been paved and striped and will serve as Temporary Parking Lot C scheduled to open August 1.

Milestones
The Board of Supervisors recently:

Awarded a contract to Excel Paving for Construction of the temporary Parking Lot C;
-
Authorized the Airport to Advertise for Bids for Design and Construction of 20 new commercial passenger loading bridges for Terminals A, B and C;
-
Received bids and awarded a contract to Nuprecon, LP for Deconstruction of Parking Structure B1;
-
Authorized the Airport to Issue a Request for Qualifications for Terminal C Construction.
Construction Progress:
-
New hangar has been delivered and will be constructed in the area of the Dove St. gate;
-
Excel Paving has completed the paving and constructed new entrance/exit lanes for Parking Lot C (scheduled to open August 1);
-
The new security guard shack and fence at Dove St. are nearly completed and operational;
-
Addition of a new left turn lane from Airport Way onto the airfield was completed specifically for construction access for Parking Lot C.
Looking ahead, Staff will recommend the Board of Supervisors:

Award a contract to Heery International as Commissioning Agent for Terminal C.
