MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

Commissioner Markley led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chair Age called the meeting to order.

1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES. On the motion and second of Commissioners Paris and Junor, the Meeting Minutes of January 18, 2006 were approved as written.

2. AWARD LEASE TO NEWS AND GIFT CONCESSION OPERATOR (ASR 05-002634). Airport Director Alan Murphy requested Airport Commission concurrence with the recommended Board action to select Airport Management Services, LLC, dba Hudson Group for award of the News and Gift Concession Lease at John Wayne Airport. Responding to Commissioner Junor, Director Murphy explained all proposals received exceeded the minimum annual growth guarantee. Director Murphy further explained concessions will amortize costs over the three years, detailed architectural drawings have been provided and will be reviewed and approved by the Airport and County of Orange.
   
   Michael Mullaney, Sr. Vice President for Hudson Group Airport Management Services addressed the Commission. Mr. Mullaney thanked the Commissioners for their recommendation to award the News and Gift Concession to Hudson Group.
   
   On the motion and second of Commissioners Markley and Junor, item 2 was passed.
      
3. SUMMARY OF RELEVANT ACTIONS BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS. Staff distributed a list of the most recent Board of Supervisor actions related to the Airport.
   
   No one from the public wished to address the Commission.

   On the motion and second of Commissioners Markley and Bristol, item 3 was passed.
