JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS MARCH 2014 STATISTICS

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in March 2014 as compared to March 2013. In March 2014, the Airport served 776,360 passengers, an increase of 0.6% when compared to the March 2013 passenger traffic count of 771,554.

Commercial aircraft operations decreased 5.8%, while Commuter aircraft operations increased 56.9% when compared to the levels recorded in March 2013.

Total aircraft operations increased in March 2014 as compared to the same month in 2013. In March 2014, there were 23,110 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 8.4% when compared to 21,329 total aircraft operations in March 2013.

General aviation activity, which accounted for 70.1% of the total aircraft operations during March 2014, increased 14.8% when compared to March 2013.
