"To see through a child's eyes, to convey a visual message, to create laughter or evoke sadness, to stimulate a spark of inspiration … these are the aspirations of the children's book illustrator," said Chemers Gallery owner Karen Raab. "The original illustrations found in this exhibit are those used to create the books we have grown to love."
Established in 1978, Chemers Gallery has held an annual Children's Book Illustration Art Show and Book Signing since 1992, inviting five different illustrators to participate each year. Chemers Gallery maintains a vast selection of illustrations throughout the year along with their distinct range of fine and decorative art.
