TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION PRE?™ PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT

SANTA ANA, Calif. - TSA Administrator John Pistole announced today at a press conference that the TSA Pre✔™ program is now available to eligible passengers at John Wayne Airport (JWA). Under TSA Pre✔™, U.S. citizens traveling domestically who are select Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and US Airways frequent travelers or members of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler programs are eligible to participate and may receive expedited screening benefits. The TSA Pre✔™ lane is located in Terminal A at John Wayne Airport.

"JWA is fortunate to have a number of partners who share our commitment to providing great customer service, and we consider TSA one of those partners," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy. "Together, we work hard to make sure JWA passengers have a positive experience - TSA Pre✔™ will make that experience even more smooth and efficient."

Benefits to members of TSA Pre✔™ include being able to leave shoes, light outerwear and belts on, keeping laptops in cases and 3-1-1 compliant liquids in a carry-on bag. Eligible passengers include U.S. citizens flying on participating airlines as well as those who are members of CBP Trusted Traveler programs, including Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS. As of November 15, 2012, Canadian citizens traveling domestically in the United States who are members of NEXUS are also qualified to participate in TSA Pre✔™. Individuals interested in participating can apply by visiting www.globalentry.gov.
