SANTA ANA, Calif. - Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the summer travel season and is traditionally one of the busiest travel periods of the year. John Wayne Airport (JWA) expects Airport traffic to be heaviest on Thursday and Friday (May 24 - 25) and Tuesday (May 29). In 2011, more than 130,000 passengers traveled through JWA between the Thursday before and the Tuesday after Memorial Day.
Visitors to JWA during the Memorial Day holiday weekend should be aware of ongoing construction activities around the Riley Terminal, exercise caution when navigating Airport roadways and follow posted speed limits. See detailed map for more information.
