JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS FEBRUARY 2012 STATISTICS (Revised)**
SANTA ANA, Calif. - Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in February 2012 as compared to February 2011. In February 2012, the Airport served 613,201 passengers, an increase of 1.3% when compared to the February 2011 passenger traffic count of 605,390.
Commercial aircraft operations increased 2.6%, while Commuter aircraft operations decreased 30.3% when compared to the levels recorded in February 2011.
Total aircraft operations increased in February 2012 as compared to the same month in 2011. In February 2012, there were 20,409 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), an increase of 3.0% when compared to 19,821 total aircraft operations in February 2011.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 69% of the total aircraft operations during February 2012, increased 3.7% when compared to February 2011.
