PARADIES-OC, LLC TO BRING CNBC NEWS, BLACKBERRY AND SURF CAMS TO JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT

SANTA ANA, Calif. John Wayne Airport (JWA) is pleased to announce that the Orange County Board of Supervisors has approved a lease with Paradies-OC, LLC to operate news and gift stores in Terminal B and the new Terminal C at JWA. The lease is part of an overall plan to bring more variety and choice to passengers traveling through the Thomas F. Riley Terminal.

"Paradies has provided excellent customer service to Orange County travelers for more than 20 years. We are delighted that Paradies will be staying at John Wayne Airport and will bring our customers some very exciting new concepts and merchandise," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy.

Paradies' beach-themed stores will feature a variety of merchandise at its South Coast News store in Terminal B and Beachfront News in Terminal C, the latter which will feature six surf cams connecting passengers with local beaches. This store also offers a new-to-JWA Read & Return book purchase program, "H20 & a Paper To Go" self-serve kiosk and Paradies' Recharge! concept which allows customers to charge laptop, PDA, and cell phone batteries in a convenient, secure environment. Paradies will also open a Blackberry store in Terminal C, offering smartphones from multiple wireless service providers as well as a wide range of accessories.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have been selected to operate the news and gift stores in Terminal B and Terminal C at John Wayne Airport," said Gregg Paradies, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Paradies Shops. "John Wayne Airport is one of the finest and most beautifully designed airports in the United States and we are proud to continue to offer the travelers of JWA a variety of concepts with both local and national appeal."

In the new Terminal C, Paradies will operate a pre-security store called OC TravelMart, designed and inspired by the agricultural past of Orange County and featuring Diedrich Coffee as well as a selection of pre-packaged foods. Paradies also brings the CNBC News concept to JWA with plasma screens at its pre-security CNBC Express locations in Terminal B and the newswall in Terminal C.

Paradies' lease is one component of the overall concessions plan at John Wayne Airport. In other business yesterday, the Board of Supervisors awarded leases to The Hudson Group for a News and Gift concession and HMSHost for Primary Food and Beverage concessions. Three Specialty concessions were previously awarded by the Orange County Board of Supervisors: Caterina's, Subway and Vino Volo. On January 25, 2011, the Board of Supervisors will consider awarding leases for two Fast Food concessions to operate in Terminals A, B and C.

John Wayne Airport is currently undergoing a number of improvements to modernize the existing Thomas F. Riley Terminal including the addition of a new Terminal C. Learn more about the Airport Improvement Program at www.ocair.com/improvements.
