Santa Ana, California - Photographs featuring travel destinations from around the globe is the theme of the First Impressions photographic group exhibition on display at John Wayne Airport (JWA) through January 26, 2010 as part of the Community Focus Art Program. The 12 Orange County photographers featured in the First Impressions exhibition share a common goal of inspiring each other to express their individual creative paths to the interpretation of 'Travel', which is their theme for this collection.

The members of the group originally came together in an advanced photographers' "Portfolio Development and Review" class in Saddleback College in the fall of 2006. Their instructor, Tom Lamb, and the students got along well and decided they would continue to meet after the class exhibition at Dana Point Coastal Arts in 2007.

First Impressions has evolved into a successful photographic collective group that has held exhibitions together in numerous venues throughout Southern California, including the Kornelius Schorle Gallery in Irvine, the Napa Valley Wine Bar in San Juan Capistrano in and The Mission Viejo Library.

First Impressions' photographs will be displayed in the departure (upper) level near the security screening areas and on the arrival (lower) level near baggage carousels 1 and 4. To learn more about JWA's Community Focus Program, visit
