SOUTH COAST NEWS AND CNBC NEWS EXPRESS
OPEN AT JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT
SANTA ANA, Calif. - The Paradies Shops, named a Best Airport Retailer by Airport Revenue News for 14 consecutive years, and operating over 500 stores across the United States and Canada, has recently remodeled two stores at John Wayne Airport (JWA) - CNBC News Express (Terminal B prior to security screening) and South Coast News (Terminal B across from Gate 4).
Both stores are now open and have been redesigned to more efficiently serve passengers and offer an expanded merchandise assortment. New features include wall unit displays, making navigation with luggage or strollers easier; organized merchandise with category signage; and strategically placed cash registers providing efficient checkout.
South Coast News is themed around Orange County's coastal lifestyle and features a stone-pebble floor design and colors reminiscent of the nearby beaches. South Coast News offers a variety of news and convenience items as well as an assortment of merchandise featuring such brands as Quicksilver, Paul Frank, Jelly Belly, Mello and Kashi.
"We are pleased to see one of our long-time tenants, The Paradies Shops, help enhance the travel experience for our passengers," said Airport Director Alan L. Murphy. "The Orange County-theme really gives passengers a feel for John Wayne Airport's location and community lifestyle."
The smaller store, CNBC News Express, is located pre-security in Terminal B and offers products to meet the needs of both arriving and departing passengers and includes a plasma screen broadcasting CNBC's award winning programming. The store also offers a full range of CNBC products and services, including online stations for checking stocks and the latest financial information.
"We are extremely happy with the new store designs and the opportunity to offer the traveling public an enhanced shopping experience," said Gregg Paradies, president and CEO. "John Wayne Airport is a wonderful place to do business and we are excited to continue providing first class service to exceed the expectations of our customers."
